| this process made me nervous, but what's new? |
within the first year of life on myrtle street we, nate especially, got to work tackling some issues with the house. for one, we had to do something about the pink marble on the fireplace. so one day, nate just went to hammering and knocking that pink out. much better, though the fireplace is still an unfinished project.

other projects over the next year or so included painting the door and the shutters to a more modern green and black, which i love. nate also fixed up the study, even though that room is still in need of some more work now that it has to become a study and guest room (and by guest room i mean the room for mom to stay in now that we are expecting twins...she'll be spending some nights to help us out..thank goodness.)
