about a month and half ago, we finally started one of miss myrtle's major facelifts...more than a facelift really... a complete redo- the kitchen. we have both tried to bare with the kitchen as best we could over the past few years, but it was just a nightmare. maroon and forest green wallpaper with an ivy motif...it was rough. but, again, nate and i had a vision that we could gut and renovate the kitchen for a budget, especially after the success of the mud room. so, that is where we are right now...smack in the middle of this renovation. nate has done it all, and I have been practically no help except with planning the overall look and helping make cosmetic decisions. but abut two weeks after we started gutting the kitchen, i started to feel not so great. and then, of course, we found out about the twins. so, sweet nate has done it all. here are the pics of our kitchen progress.

i don't think i can ever put up wall paper again after the nightmare that was stripping it off these plaster walls

yep...that is our color...lime green...i know, but it is going to be fantastic once it all comes together and i love the black and white floors we chose
nate has built all the cabinets himself. he has a friend who has been mentoring him.
